The Beauty of Bali

Have you ever heard of Bali Island ? If you are not, this term might ring the bell Eat, Pray and Love. I love this book by Elizabeth Gilbert. I saw the movie as well with Julia Robert in it, this book talk about how she met her love in Bali.

About two years ago at this time of the year, my husband and I visit my family in Sumatra. This is the first time for my husband out of the State and the third time for me since I left my home town in 2001. We had a great time with my family and my husband get to know them.

We were really blessed to have the oportunity to visit Bali for the first time for my husband and I. We flew from Medan to Jakarta and had layover there to take another flight to Bali. We landed around the evening time at Ngurah Rai International Airport.

Bali offer us a lot of its beauty from the beach, food, nature, art, culture and a lot more. We had a great time there and enjoyed every moment of it. Most of all I love how friendly are the people there. Bali is the most famous beautiful island in Indonesia, we stayed in moderated hotel around Legian Beach.

Yellow and Gray Room

We have two bedroom and one of them doesnt have bed. Last month, we got a futon from Walmart with a charcoil color similar to gray I guess. Im thinking to decorate the room with Gray and Yellow color.

We like the sofa, it is relatively comfortable to sit and lay down so when we have someone come over and stay, we have something for them to sleep.
I have not decorate this spare bedroom since we moved in last August.

Here are some inspiration idea using gray and yellow color.

I love the frame work at the wall, since we are renting Im not really willing to paint the wall, so as much as I can I want to leave the color as it is off white. So this art work should be nice, I have a couple of frame that I got from Michaels a while back.

I found this pillow from Target website and I think will be nice to use them.

I love this yellow fabric the flower print and the bird, thinking to use it for a window curtain. I will check my local fabric store or who knows I will find something from thrift store :)

Check this lamp shade, found from  World Market  website and the price not bad at all, I wonder if my local World Market have it.
This one nice too, I found it from  Target , I love both of them, will see which one I will use later.

This room looks beautiful with the pop-up yellow, the chaise so inviting make you just want to take a nap there :)

Same with this one instead of gray chaise this one is yellow, so these 2 idea kind of similiar with what I going to do with my futon. I hope it turn out nice as all these idea :)

Time to say Good Bye

Sunday evening on February 3th after church service we went to the hospital to check my father in law. He has been in hospice care for almost 2 weeks. At 8 ish, we thought he already with the LORD, we checked and he was still with us. My husband and I decided to go get something to eat downstair at 8: 20 ish and let the nurse know and left my father in law by himself in the room.
Around 8:50 we went back up stair and my husband got a phone call from one of my brother in law that my father in-law already went to be with the Lord around 8:40.

We were crying and sad although we knew this time will come but when you face the reality then you realized how hard it is. I have lost my parents when I was in my early age and had experience with losing someone that you love and care so dearly. My husband and family this is the first time they experience losing someone they love.

Praise God , most of my husband family knew where my father in law will be and we all have the assurance of that hope. One day we will see him again in heaven with Jesus.

We had beautiful funeral services on February 8th in honor of my father in-law life. We had my husband basket ball coach from their high school in Christian School to deliver the message. Friends and families come to give us comfort and care. Thank you God for all the care, kindness and love you show us through them.

We will missed my father in-law but we know he is in the best place now, no more sorrow, no more pain !!!

One thing I remember from my father in-law at our wedding was his speech about JOY : Jesus first, Other second and Yourself  last !! What a wonderful message   !! We all say Good Bye for now until we meet again in a glorious moment with our Lord Jesus ! We all Love You and will miss you !!

A Time for Everything : To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: 2 A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;3 A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;4 A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; 5 A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; 6 A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; 7 A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; 8 A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace. This time was not much diffrent, especially we just lost my father in law. I will post about it later. I posted some about it  here.

We went to seafood place called Conch Republic for dinner and the food was great. I had jambalaya and mr. Potato had Scallop on top of adamame, rice, potato and it was delicious.

We did not have dessert at the restaurant because we were so full, instead we bought some stawberries and chocolate and made our own chocolate covered stawberries and it was yummy, most of  all it was made with LOVE :)

Say it with Flower

Spring is coming up and one of my favorite season beside Summer. I like to share about flower around me since we got married almost 5 years ago.

My husband is one of those guys like to buy flower when it come to a special occasion. Which is I love it, my only problem is the price that I am not willing to pay. So to make both of us happy I told him next time just buy me flower from the grocery store or an orchid, win-win solution I guess. Prayerfully and hopefully we will be able to buy a house soon in the next future with a yard so I can plant my own flower :)

Here are some of the very special flowers to me !
