The Most Moist Corn Bread Recipe

We love to eat chili in the Winter time. We have one recipe that we like and been making it for lots of time. Usually, people eat chili with corn bread. My husband not really a corn bread eater. He said most of the time corn bread taste dry. That is why he doesn't like it. I would agree with him.

So, I experiment this the most simple and easy recipe corn bread and very moist that my husband love it. Yay...to me, finally my husband like corn bread.

The ingredients are very easy to find also easy to make. I use corn muffin mix, eggs,1 small plain yogurt  6 oz and milk about 2/3 cup. I think the plain yogurt make a big different.

I mix all the ingredients and bake it according to the instructions at the box.

Just like that ! Very easy, moist corn bread and ready to serve and enjoy!!

Life Principle I Have Learn From Winter Olympic

Hi Everyone ! I hope you all doing good ! We still have a great weather here in our area around 50 - 60 degrees during the day and I just love it. The bird starting to chirping outside.

I cant wait for a Spring season. Meanwhile we are enjoying the winter too. Especially, winter Olympic game is still going on. We are watching it every night and love to see all the Olympian compete for the medal.

I have learn a couple of things from watching the game that I can apply to my own life. How to fight and keep going until the end . Either you get medal or not in my opinion they always be winner. Because they put all they have in that competition field. And I know is not easy to do.

Here is some life principle that I learn from watching Olympic game.

1. Discipline
I have a hard time to apply this in my own life. This Olympian must be doing the same things over and over again on the training camp.

2. Perseverance
I saw the man figure skating on the ice one night I think he is from USA. He was falling down on that ice. I thought he would be done with it, instead he got up and keep going. That was really touching and I really admire his perseverance on that ice. At the end he was proud of himself because he fought to the end and not give up.

3. Time Management
When you are having a goal in your life I think time management one of the most important aspect that we need. Without this nothing can get accomplish. We might just circling the ball.

4. Persistence.
This kind of relate with point #2.

5. Sacrifice
All these athlete sacrifice a lot in their life to get to where they are now. Sacrifices time, money, social life and some other things.

I congratulate all the Olympian athletes and wish them the best. Thank  you for giving me the life lesson while I enjoying watching it. The fun part now is to apply them in my own my life because I still struggle with those things.

I hope you enjoy the winter Olympic as much as we do !!

Random Things From The Weekend !!

I hope you had a nice day !!
Thank God we had a nice and sunny day today 60 degrees for a change. What a surprise. I really enjoyed it.

Compare to last Saturday was raining and cold. We were just stay home until in the evening. We decided to browsing the furniture store in our area. It's called the Dump. This store is like an factory outlet for furniture version. From what I heard their price used to be a lots cheaper than what we saw last Saturday. I think I have to agree with it. Because all their price seems outrages to me. You can tell me what you think.

We are not even sure if we want to buy furniture from this store because the price out of our budget. After the browsing and not buying anything. We went to Vietnamese restaurant. As always I love to order their pho noodle and my husband love their pork chop over rice.

I hope you had a relaxing and great weekend !!!

Valentine's Corner From Our House

I hope you all have a great Valentine's Day !
I had a nice one with my lovely husband. We just came home from this Japanese restaurant in our area. Now we are getting ready for our dessert, strawberry covered chocolate. Snuggling in front of the TV watching Winter Olympic games and just enjoying each other. No fancy gifts for each other. Most important thing is just having each other and enjoying the moments together.

I didn't  do any special Valentines decoration in the house, but still wanted to give the feeling of Valentine's without doing much. So, I came up with this decoration by our entry way. I framed this free printout from some a website, empty chocolates box from last year and a potted orchid that my husband got from Trader Joes.

Kitchen Chairs Makeover ( No Spending Money )

When we were visiting NYC two weeks ago, we stayed at my uncle and aunt house ( My mom's younger sister ). I kind of knew that she will have a project for me to do. Because this past December they came to visit us. And saw all the project I have done. She was amazed with some of the furniture makeover I did. And she told me about her kitchen chairs need a makeover.

So, part of visited NY was doing my aunt kitchen chairs. We had such a great time talking and catching up with life and family. We did this project for almost the whole day that Friday. Don't you just love spending time and doing things together with the people you love. My aunt is kind like a mother to me. She doesn't have any children and my Mom already passed.

My aunt is just like me. She is very frugal when it comes to buy things but when it come to help people in need she is very generous. So, she didn't buy any fabric for this project. She had this old bed spread that my uncle bought long time ago in India. The pattern and the texture actually perfect to cover the chairs.

We both love the end result. She was so happy with it. I was glad that I can do something for her. I cant take all the credit for this project. My husband was helping with the measurement. Because he is good at math and very neat :)

Our Weekend and Trip To New York

I hope you had a wonderful weekend. Ours kind of laid back and relaxing. In the morning we went to this amazing donut place called Sugar Shack. We knew this place since last December but never had a chance to get it. This is our second time to get it and we are hooked and loved it. My husband think is better than Crispy Kreme and I have to agree with him :)

Sunday we were visiting the new church for the second time that we might like and possibility to join. We had nice lunch with the Pastor and his wife. We are still praying for the new home church to join. Hopefully God will show us one soon.

We went to NYC two weeks ago on Super Bowl weekend. We had a wonderful time there visiting family and friends.

I always had a blast visiting this city. I had a great time at brunch in Astoria at this Café.  This is the first time for me to visit this café I would say is an OK café nothing spectacular. The service was ok as well. I would not really recommended friends to come here again. Thank God we had an amazing time so the food it didn't really matter.

After lunch we walked around China town and Little Italy. Not really sure how many times I have been visiting this two places but every time I came here always something new to me. Probably the feel of it. No...we didn't buy anything at all :)

Times Square on Super Bowl weekend. Oh...my I feel sorry for us have to join this crowd. We barely can walk among them. We were not sure why we even got there. I guess just to make the news how crowded Times Square for Super Bowl weekend was :)

Being silly at H&M store ;)

We were thinking to get some of the cake/dessert from this cake boss store. However the line was so long. So, we changed our mind and went to Starbucks instead.

Monday morning we drove back to Virginia with this thick snow on the ground. Thank God we made home safe and sound. Always good to be home with peaceful and quite city :)

Psalm 55:16-17

As for me, I will call upon God; and the Lord shall save me.
Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.
