Dinning Room Wall Art

Hi all I hope you have a wonderful day ! Today I sold one of my furniture project through craigslist and some clothes on on EBay.

I have this florist print that I bought while back from Goodwill for .25 cent each. I'm thinking to frame and put them in my dining room with a nice frame.
But I could not found any nice frame that fit my wallet :). So I have been searching and finally found the frame that I like and work with my budget at Wal-Mart for $5 each.

The frame original color is brown. I want something dark against my wall off white color { rented apartment } also the print to pop-up. I decided to spray painted with charcoal. And I really like how they turned out.

I hope you found a project around your home with a minimal budget and yet still fit your taste this weekend?

Our Memorial Day Weekend

Hi all ! I hope you have a great long Memorial Day Weekend !

First of all ! I want to thank all the people who serving this country for the freedom. Freedom is not something we get for free. Someone has to pay the price. God Bless all the families who fought for this country. And Thank you for all you have done !!

Our weekend has been good so far. We went to Maryland for friends of our 38th Wedding  Anniversary. We had a great time. It has been so long that we don't have gathering with a lot of Indonesian folks in one time. All the foods were amazing.

Mr. & Mrs. Napitupulu, Us and My Aunt and Uncle

My Aunt and Uncle came from New York. I was so happy to see them. It has been a while since the last time we visit them in NY.

After we had a great time and our stomach full of those delicious Indonesian food. We went to do some shopping for those bargain sale at Potomac Mills Outlet. I found some great deal at Victoria Secret and Banana Republic. I paid $79 and change for 12 pieces of clothes. I will put them on EBay.

We stop by at this sea food restaurant for dinner Tims Rivershore  that we found out from restaurant.com in Dumfries, Va. The food were good nothing extravagance. The atmosphere and view were amazing by the Potomac river. They have a live band (not sure if they have this every night ). I would say if you live around this area you should give a shot.
Thank you for visiting friends. Enjoy the rest of  your day !!!!

Our Wonderful Journey {5th Year Wedding Anniversary}

Hi all, today is a special day for me and my husband ! We celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary ! Wow, where is the time goes ? We had 5 wonderful years and looking forward for many more years to come. We share joy, tears and our journey of waiting the moment God will bless us with precious baby.

We can't get through this 5 years without Jesus as our Lord and the one who lead us in this journey. I love my husband more today than the first time I met him. We knew each other better today than the first year of our marriage.

Thank you Lord for everything you have done in our marriage. Here is the Bible verse we have at our wedding program and a reminder for us as a couple.

1 Chronicles 17:27
Now You have been pleased to bless the house of Your servant, that it may continue before You forever; for You have blessed it, O Lord, and it shall be blessed forever.”

I hope you have a wonderful and blessed Memorial Day Weekend !!!

HGTV Dream Home 2013

Have you ever dreamed of what kind of  house that you will have if you could afford it? My dream home is very simple filled with people that I love. Ok...lets talk about the house. I want a cape cod or bungalow style with 3 or 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a garden. I would like it no more than 2000 square feet.

I have been entering this sweepstakes by HGTV. Dream Home 2013, they call it a smart house. The house is in Jacksonville, Fla. The question is... If I won this house, what am I doing with it ? 1.)It is not my dream house 2.)We do not live in Florida 3.) The house does not fit our life style. I guess I will answer all these if I win :) { After all, it is a dream :) }

Don't get me wrong. I do like the dream home. I love everything about it. What is not to love about it especially since it is free :)

Let's take a tour around this dream house. Hopefully and prayerfully I will win :)

Bookshelves Makeover

Hi friends how was your day today? I hope you had a good one ! Today I want to share with you another paint project I have done. A bookshelves.
I have a good amount of books around my apartment. Every time we went to Goodwill Outlet my husband always grab 2-3 books to come home with us. Which is good to build our own library. The problem is we don't have a place for them. While we were at Goodwill, we saw this bookshelves. It wasn't big but good enough for our book collection.

I was thinking paint it with gray but my husband pick out this blue-ish color from Valspar.

I love how it turned out. We put this bookshelves in our bedroom for now until we found the right place for it.

My husband and I need to start reading some of these books and magazines. Those magazines I got them for free believe it or not. I already donated half of them to a local library.

Decorating Bath Room With Budget (Using What You Have)

Hi all ! Happy Weekend ! Hope you have a wonderful one !
We kind of just relaxing and chilling at home today. The weather looks gloomy and the weather man said will rain later this afternoon.

I will share with you how I decorate my spare bathroom/powder room with budget. And still looks nice and inviting for our company.

This is how it looks, I don't really have any theme for this bathroom. I'm using what I have around my apartment.

Curtain shower I got it from freecycle when I was live in NYC. I like the color and it work good with the season Spring/Summer.
I bought the hook from dollar tree store.

We recently got this picture from our trip to Myrtle Beach, SC. My husband loved the word on it so we bought it home as a souvenir for $17 and change.

I got this cute reminder of God's love from dollar store a while back.

Nothing make you happier than a fresh flowers ( got it from friend's garden :) and the little elephant vase is a gift from one of our friends.
The subway art printing on the wall.  I print them out from this blog twotwentyone, eighteen25 and I can't find the other one. I framed them with dollar tree frames and only cost me $3. Hand towel I got them from Amazon using my swagbucks gift card for about $2.

The lotion is free from Victoria Secret and hand soap was free as well using coupon.
After all, cost me around $25 dollar to decorate this bathroom that is because the picture we got from Myrtle Beach otherwise will be under $10.

Have a great weekend my friends and be blessed !

End Table With Shelves

This table one of the project I have around the apartment. I just finished it this past week. I love how it turned out. I painted it with Valspar light green and stained it with red mahogany (leftover).

 I kept the old hardware. I love the uniqueness of this end table with all these shelves.

 You can put some of your pretty collection yet in the same time using it as end table.

Here is before all those hard work ! What a big different that fresh paint and wood stain can make with an old furniture !!

Weekend Road Trip {Early Anniversary Celebration}

Hi all ! I hope you all have a wonderful Mother's Day and Weekend !

Ours were amazing ! We went to Myrtle Beach, SC ! This is the first time for me to visit this fantastic beach. I heard about it a lot from people or even on commercial.

Beautiful Hibiscus
My husband and I have this special thing on every our Anniversary. We go to a place that either of us
haven't been before. Not necessary to be extravagance. Last year we just went up to the mountain. We did a Cherry picking { first time for both of us}

This year we celebrate it 2 weeks early. Because we are going to be busy for the next 2 weeks between job and ministries.
I booked the hotel from Travelzoo with reasonable price { cheap }. We stay at The Breakers. The room was nice with ocean view.
View from our room

We really enjoyed the Broadway walk. They have all this cute store with the stuff I want{ if only I have the money to buy it :) }
We stopped by at this cute store called the Mole Hole. I love most of the merchandise they have. Especially this cute company based in South Carolina called Spartina449. Probably one day if I have the budget for it I would get things from there.

We went to Nascar  Speed Park we got free ticket from the Hotel. My husband and I really had a good time there.

On Saturday night we went dinner to this restaurant called The Brother Shuckers. I knew this place from Restaurant.com while they have sale. And we picked the perfect restaurant. The food was amazing. My husband had Ahi Tuna, I had Tilapia stuffed crab meat. We loved them. If you are going to Myrtle Beach. I would recommended to try this restaurant. The place was about 15 minutes drive from the beach.

On Sunday morning we went to a local church that I found online. After that we went for a mini golf before heading home.

Mother's Day { Special Women In My Life }

I hope you have a wonderful day ! I have been busy painting, packing and shipped my stuff at eBay.

Since Mother's Day is this weekend. I want to blog about my Mom and all the special women in my life. My Mom was one of a kind women that I knew. She became widow on her young age. She worked hard to provide for all her children after my father pass away. She woke up early every morning around 4 am. There were a lots of things I could say about my Mom. I wish she is still here with me but God knows what the best for her and us ( all her children). I thank God for a short of time I have with her. I treasure all the moment. She shape me to be the woman I am now. One thing for sure I learn from my Mom is her frugal life :). I love you Mom { I will see you again in the most beautiful moment, have a wonderful time with Jesus !}

The is picture of my family ( sorry for the blur) , back then picture was a fancy thing {this the only picture I have :( }
My Aunt is kind of like Mom to me. She lives in NYC for the last almost 40 years or more. She is the one who introduce us to the Salvation in Jesus Christ. She has a special place in my heart. She is such a lovely woman. She doesn't have kids of  her own ( after married for almost 26 years). Instead she took care of us after my parents passed. She support us in moral, financial etc. I thank God for her. We are so blessed to have you  as our Aunt !!
My Uncle, Me and My Aunt in Atlanta at friends of ours wedding

Last but not least my mother in-law. She is such  a sweet heart. Lovely woman. Her health isn't really good right now. So you have a hard time to have communication with her. But from what I heard she was a good cook. My husband love her potato salad and macaroni salad. I tried to ask for the recipe but with her condition is kind of hard. I thank God for my Mother in-law for bringing and raised such a wonderful man. And thanks for giving me that man :)

She is such a beautiful lady !

Have a wonderful Mother's Day ladies !! And enjoy your weekend !! Be Blessed !!
