Decorations are very common during this time of year. I think we can all agree that our favorite is the Christmas tree. It's festive and the star on top reminds us of Bethlehem, where Jesus was born.
When I was growing up. I can't remember my family ever having a Christmas tree. Not even a Charlie Brown tree. Why....because we couldn't afford it. Christmas trees were a luxury in my country back then, much less any other decoration. But we still celebrated the true meaning of Christmas. It is not about decorations or trees. It is about Jesus being born in a manger on a mission to save us from our sin. We celebrate "the Savior is born". John 3:16
Since, now, I can afford to have my very own Christmas tree, I love to decorate it with something very meaningful ornaments to us. We don't use a color theme, except for the ribbon around, so I think the tree decorations will be the same every year. All the ornament will be the same year after year, because each ornament we hang on the tree has sentimental value to us.
We met in 2007 so this Lenox bell is very special.
My husband's favorite football team Redskin all the way :).
The first ornament we bought together snoopy is always a favorite.
The cutest little bird you will ever see. We chose this together.
This box tree ornament hand made by one of our church member who is disabled.
I hope you have fun and have a special way to decorate your tree !!!
