Autumn Wreath ( Made with Goodwill Shirt )

Fall is almost here !! But I still feel the hot summer weather with the humidity in my area !
Despite the hot weather, I'm ready for the Autumn. I'm  starting to decorate my house with Fall stuff. Today I started with the front door wreath.

I reused my Spring/Summer wreath. I took everything off except the fabric wrapper.

I saw this shirt at the Goodwill Auction, the color was orange with leaves pattern. Suddenly, I was thinking to make some kind of Fall project with it. It cost me probably about $.20 or less because was made of silk and very light ( they sell clothes by weight).

I made rosettes out of the fabric, I cut the fabric about 2" wide and 15 " long for each rosette.

I use the same measurement for the ruffles too. I hot glued it inside the wreath. Glued the rosettes and brown pom-pom. I made the pom-pom out of FREE yarn. I will make another post about how I did it. I added some leaves to give it the feel of the season.

This project is very simple and it didn't take much time to do it. Now, I have a beautiful wreath hanging by my door, ready for the beautiful crisp Autumn weather.

  1. Shut the front door!! That is one of the coolest things I've seen! I would've never ever guessed what the material came from, but I like that you saw beyond the shirt and thought of what COULD BE. Well done. It turned out very cute indeed.

    XOXO,

P.S. You visited my blog recently and left a nice comment, but since you're showing up as a No Reply Blogger, I couldn't reply to you. I used to be a NRB until another gal let me know. I think you just go to your settings, edit profile and click a box that says "show email". This can be frustrating, especially if you notice that people haven't replied to your comments. You can google how to fix it, too. That's what I did. ;) Hope this helps!
