Reupholster Chair for $2 ( my neighbors trash is my treasure )

Im sure you are familiar with the term " one man's trash can be one woman's treasure ". When I put out my garbage to the dumpster, I always look around if there is something I can find that I can turn into a project.
After makeover

I saw this "nice to me" chair just sitting by the dumpster. I told my husband : "Can you help me bring this chair into the house!". At first, he was not sure about it. I just happen to be blessed to have a wonderful husband who wants to make his wife happy although he did not agree with my crazy idea. Finally, he brought it into the house. Here it goes this "nice to me" chair.

Not too nice at the time

I start working on this chair with the stuff I already have. The paint I already have, left over from the previous project which is free. The fabric I bought from flea market for $2.

Im so surprise how it turned out, is beautiful. I put it on craiglist after everything done.Although I'm tempted to keep it, I sold it not long after. After all, I make money from somebody trash :)

Here is the chair after all those hard and dirty work.

  2. Wow, this transformation is incredible. Your husband sounds just like mine. They just can't see the beautiful piece IT can be with some TLC. I'd love to hear more about how you actually Reupholstered this piece. Perhaps a tutorial is in your future? I make it look so easy!
